Ingredients:
- 4 large tomatoes
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 400F 200C
Cut the tomatoes in half and place them on a baking sheet, cut side up
Drizzle olive oil over the tomatoes, and sprinkle with minced garlic, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper
Roast the tomatoes in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until they are soft and slightly caramelized
Remove the roasted tomatoes from the oven and let them cool slightly
Transfer the roasted tomatoes to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth
Taste the sauce and adjust the seasonings as needed, adding more salt, pepper, or herbs if desired
