Ingredients:
- 9 cups crispy rice cereal
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup crushed Butterfinger candy bars about 4 bars
Instructions:
Place the crispy rice cereal in a large mixing bowl and set aside
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and unsalted butter
Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the mixture is smooth and well combined
Stir in the vanilla extract into the chocolate mixture
Pour the chocolate mixture over the crispy rice cereal and gently fold until all the cereal is coated with the chocolate mixture
In a large zip-top bag, add the powdered sugar and crushed Butterfinger candy bars
Transfer the chocolate-coated cereal into the bag with the powdered sugar and candy bars
Seal the bag and shake it vigorously until the cereal is well coated with the powdered sugar and candy bars
Spread the Butterfinger Puppy Chow onto a baking sheet to cool and set
Once its completely cool, store it in an airtight container
